Throughout the school summer holidays, the Everyone Deserves a Summer campaign provided food for children attending holiday camps across our region.
We supported the Ospreys in the Community Fit, Fed & Fun camps, as well as the Swansea City AFC Foundation camps, making sure children could stay active and enjoy a decent meal while they were at it.
For many families, the school holidays bring extra pressure, and too many children miss out on regular, healthy meals. Holiday camps like these give young people somewhere safe to go, the chance to try new sports and make friends, and proper food during the day.
It was also lovely to pop into Forge Fach on one of their All Together Wednesdays with sunscreen, biscuits and sweets for the children, who were enjoying a fantastic nature day. The visit was part of a wider UV safety campaign, helping to make sure children are protected from the sun while they play outdoors.
A huge thank you to Ospreys in the Community, the Swansea City AFC Foundation and Forge Fach for everything they do for children and families in our communities.
