Eastside Food Bank, like many food banks up and down the country, has run out of supplies this week and is urgently asking for donations.
It’s no coincidence that this has happened during the first week of the summer holidays where children no longer have access to free school meals.
If you are able to donate any non-perishable items, my office will be acting as a drop-off point and is open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm.
Other drop-off points are St Thomas Library, Morrisons in Morfa and the Co-Op in the Quadrant & Marina.
The following items will be greatly appreciated:
Milk (UHT or powdered)
Part baked rolls
Puddings – e.g. cake, jam tarts etc.
Custard – tinned or other
Pasta / Rice sauces
Savoury biscuits / part baked bread
Soap and other toiletries
And all other non-perishable
Eastside Food Bank post regular updates about requested items on their facebook page.
